Posted on July 11, 2013

This weekend, a Mixed Martial Arts champ will drop by a driving school in Colfax, California to talk about the importance of refraining from distracted driving.  The Empire Driving School will host the event, dubbed the Day of Safety.  The fighter explains that the issue is important to him as a parent to a teen, and he hopes that all teenage drivers will begin to understand that texting is a more hazardous activity than engaging in mixed martial arts.  A member of the driving school explains that parents can do their part to encourage safety by learning and enacting the various precautions that ought to be taken on the road.  The issue is of importance to all demographics due to the prevalence of distracted driving among all drivers.
