Dietary Supplements Recalled By Beta Labs Due To DMAA Presence

Posted on June 24, 2013

Four types of dietary supplements are being recalled by Beta Labs because of the presence of DMAA, a substance that could cause health issues in persons consuming the items.  The recall pertains to one lot each of Red Vipers, Phentalene, and Phen FX and two lots of Oxyphen XR.  The presence of DMAA in the items could lead takers to be subject to various cardiovascular issues, heightened blood pressure being but one.  The Food and Drug Administration has previously warned about the dangers posed by DMAA, and thus the presence of the item brings these particular dietary supplements out of compliance with the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act.  Owners are being advised to cease using these products.
