12,907 Dodge Dart Vehicles Recalled By Chrysler Over Stalling Threat

Posted on June 12, 2013

12,907 Dodge Dart automobiles of the 2013 model year have been recalled by Chrysler because of an apparent issue with the dual dry clutch transmission and a 1.4L MultiAir turbo engine.  When the weather drops below 20 degrees, the aforementioned engine is in danger of stalling.  If this occurs in the midst of transit, the threat of a crash increases because of the unexpected situation.  At some point this month, the recall is going to start.  Owners will hear from Chrysler and should be able to bring their automobiles in to a dealer to get their powertrain control modules reprogrammed at no cost.  This should take care of the safety issue.
