N-Series Trucks Recalled By Isuzu Over Stalling Hazard

Posted on May 28, 2013

N-Series trucks of the 2013 model year are being recalled by Isuzu Manufacturing Services of America because of a potential stalling threat posed in the midst of transit.  Slightly fewer than 200 vehicles that contain an automatic transmission could be impacted by the issue, which would find potential dislodging of a transmission retaining ring taking place.  When the ring is thus separated from the clutch drum, the ability to move forward can be compromised and the vehicle can putter out, an issue that may possibly pose a crash hazard.  The recall will start at some point next month.  Owners should hear from Isuzu, at which point they can seek out free repairs from a dealer.
