More results are filtering in from the California-wide distracted driving crackdown that took place throughout the month of April.  Police with the city of South San Francisco reportedly issued 343 tickets for distracted driving violations, with many of those citations directed toward persons using their cellphones to either text or talk.  Even though hands-free phone usage is at the moment still permissible in the state, South San Francisco PD asked that drivers understand the inherent risks of engaging in even this activity.  Those persons ticketed for their cellphone usage during the aforementioned operation could expect to be on the receiving end of a $159 ticket.
