2,491 Recreational Vehicles Recalled By Jayco Over Crash Risk

Posted on May 6, 2013

More recreational vehicles are being recalled because of a potential issue with their awning.  This time, Jayco announced the recall in regards to White Hawk, Jay Flight, Jay Flight Destination, Jay Flight Bungalow, Jay Flight Swift, Redhawk, Seismic, Octane, Precept, White Hawk, Jay Feather Ultra Lite, Pinnacle, Eagle, Eagle HT, and Eagle Premiere RVs of the 2013 and 2014 model years.  2,491 vehicles are impacted by the recall.  The awning motors could sustain damage due to an installation error, and thus the awning can roll out while in transit, posing a potential crash hazard.  The recall will start at some point this month.  The affected motor will be replaced at no cost by dealers once vehicle owners bring the RVs in for the fix.
