CPK and DiGiorno Frozen Pizza Recalled Over Possible Plastic Presence

Posted on May 3, 2013

Four different types of frozen pizzas under the DiGiorno and California Pizza Kitchen brands have been recalled by the Pizza Division of Nestle USA because of the potential presence of pieces of plastic in these items.  The recall affects CPK Grilled Chicken with Cabernet Sauce and Crispy Thin Crust White and DiGiorno Bianca/White Pizza and Crispy Flatbread Pizza Tuscan Style Chicken available across the country.  Customers first informed the company of the danger, which Nestle then traced to a third party supplier of spinach.  Owners of the pizza are instructed to check their production codes to find out if their product was manufactured in February or March.  If an affected pizza is in their possession, consumers should get in touch with Nestle to obtain a coupon for a replacement product.
