DL/DM Digger Derrick Utility Trucks of the 2007 through 2012 model years have been recalled by Altec Industries. More than 1,000 vehicles that contain a winch drum from Tulsa Winch Group could experience fracturing or deformation of that component. This could lead to a failure while the winch is being used, and persons in the vicinity could thus sustain a potential injury. Although there is as of yet no word on when the recall is slated to begin, Altec will be in touch with owners once it does. The vehicles can then be brought in to a dealer for a free installation of a new winch drum.
