Crash Risk Leads to Recall of 14,720 Vehicles By Navistar

Posted on April 24, 2013

International ProStar, WorkStar, LoneStar, TerraStar, TranStar, and DuraStar vehicles of the 2011 through 2013 model years have been recalled by Navistar because of an issue that could impede visibility.  14,720 vehicles are potentially affected by the recall, and each will have a sun shade that’s in danger of being completely or even partly detached from its place in the panel of the cab roof.  If the shade is released while the vehicle is in transit, the ensuing distraction could cause the driver to lose focus and/or control, potentially leading to a crash.  The recall will start on June 17.  Once owners hear from Navistar, a free inspection and sun shade mounting strengthening procedure will be carried out by dealers.
