AT & T recently took to the General Assembly in Raleigh, North Carolina to draw newfound awareness to their “It Can Wait” anti-distracted driving campaign. Lawmakers were on hand to test out a texting and driving simulator that was brought by the area. The Speaker of the House explained that getting North Carolina to live up to its moniker as the Good Roads State will hinge on all citizens understanding the threat posed by texting and driving. In a press release, AT & T also details the efforts they plan to enact to further snuff out texting at the wheel across the country. They hope to continue to take their anti-texting simulators across the country and work with phone companies to get anti-distraction apps preloaded onto phones.
