Pet Food Recalled by Kasel Over Potential Salmonella Contamination

Posted on February 21, 2013

The Denver, Colorado-based Kasel Associated Industries has announced the recall of all pet food items that were produced at their Denver plant between April 20 and September 19 of last year.  The recall pertains to such brand names as TDBBS, Nature’s Deli, Bixbi, and Boots & Barkley.  In almost all instances, the products will have a Best By date of April 2014, except for the two Nature’s Deli items, which have a Best By date of April 2013.  The threat of a Salmonella contamination is what prompted the recall.  Consumers should take the treats away from their pets as soon as possible, and they themselves ought to take the proper precautions when handling the items, as contact with the products could cause such persons to be plagued by an illness.  A refund will be given to those that bring the products back.
