Crash Risk Prompts Hercules to Recall ALL TRAC A/T Tires

Posted on February 26, 2013

The threat of a tread separation has prompted the recall of certain Hercules ALL TRAC A/T tires made between November 2008 and October 16, 2010.  The Hercules Tire & Rubber Company announced the recall when it was discovered that a separation can be had in the in-service belt or the tread of these tires.  If this were to occur while the vehicle is in transit, the automobile operator would potentially lose his or her ability to properly control the vehicle.  A potential crash hazard is then posed.  The recall should start by the end of this month.  Owners will hear from Hercules about the issue, at which point they’ll be able to bring their tires in for a free mounting, balancing, and replacement service.
