BBU Recalls Bread Because of Possible Wire Presence

Posted on February 20, 2013

Bread available in California and throughout the country is being recalled by BBU, a company which oversees Bimbo Bakeries.  Affected breads were available across the US, but Californians in particular should check to see if they are in the possession of Earthgrains 12 Grain Natural Bread or Sara Lee 12 Grain Bread Hearty & Delicious with a February 20 Best By date.  Sara Lee Multi-Grain Thin Style Buns only available in this state with a February 17 Best By date are also affected.  At issue is the fact that a flexible piece of wire could be found within the bread.  This issue stems from an error at a flour mill.  Instead of eating the bread, which is almost past or has past its Best By date, owners should bring it back to the store for a refund.
