The Bimbo Bakeries parent company BBU has announced the recall of various bagel products under the Weight Watchers, Publix Premium, Sara Lee Deluxe, and Thomas’ brand. The recall pertains to a number of product sizes, but each will have a best by date between January 18 and January 27. It’s possible that these particular bagels could contain pieces of metal, circumstances which could have resulted from a manufacturing component that suffered some type of failure. Two products were already discovered to contain the metal fragments, but thankfully, no consumers have reported incurring any type of injury at this time. A refund will be issued to those persons who bring the items back to the store.
