Bike rodeos are perhaps one of the best ways to inform children of the importance of bike safety and make sure that their conveyances are properly equipped to meet the challenges of the road. Palm Springs recently played host to such a rodeo put on by the Boys & Girls Club and the city’s police department. Instructors explained the requisite hand signals that should be used whenever a turn is about to be executed. An obstacle course was also put in place so that kids could get some idea of their ability to navigate obstacles and learn when they are supposed to stop at a stop sign.
