Cold Smoked Salmon Recalled by Delifish S.A. Over Listeria Risk

Posted on December 31, 2012

Numerous salmon items are being recalled by Delifish S.A. because there’s a chance that the fish may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.  The recall pertains to cold smoked items with such names as Black Bear of the Black Forest Smoked Salmon,  Royal Fjord Sliced Smoked Salmon Loin, Silver Source Smoked Salmon Foodservice Filet, and more.  These fish were available in a handful of states, including here in California.  Consumers are being asked to get in touch with Delifish directly in order to learn about how to obtain a refund.  This should be done at once in order to prevent nausea, headaches, vomiting, or the more serious complications that can result in those whose immune systems have been weakened.
