Chevy 5500, GMC 5500, Econoline 350, and Ford E450 vehicles of the 2006 through 2011 model years are being recalled by Creative Bus Sales. 227 of these vehicles have an onboard wheelchair lift from Braun whose roll stop latches can become damaged over the course of time. This would compromise the ability of the roll stop to halt an individual in a wheelchair should they approach the edge when the component has been placed in the elevated position. This poses an obvious fall and injury hazard to such persons. The recall actually began back on November 23. Owners, should hear from Braun soon if they haven’t already. The company will arrange for free repairs with dealers.
