Aspergillus Contamination Prompts Recall of PAPYRUS Miniature Tree

Posted on December 21, 2012

The potential presence of mold has prompted the recall of a decorative PAPYRUS Signature Collection tree.  455 of these 17 inch, red and gold trees with a UPC of 9000165441 are affected by the recall throughout the United States, with an additional 75 residing in Canada.  The Fairfield, California-based Schurman Retail Group announced the recall, which was initiated once Aspergillus mold spores were shown to be contaminating the items.  To avoid potential respiratory infections, consumers are being asked to place the tree into a sealed container at once.  They can then bring the item to a PAPYRUS store, the exclusive retailer of the items.  No one has reported becoming ill at this time.
