MM, K2, and K3 Motorhomes Recalled Over Potential Crash Hazard

Posted on December 18, 2012

MM, K2, and K3 motorhome chassis of the 2013 model year are being recalled by Spartan Motors Chassis because of an issue that might affect braking capability.  Damage can occur if the ABS sensor cable or the brake hoses make contact with the unit’s swaybar, which is a possibility on 23 of these vehicles.  This could lead the Anti Lock Brakes to be disabled or the front brake chambers to not receive the requisite amount of air.  Either situation could cause an increased stopping distance which might lead to a crash.  January should see the start of the recall, at which point owners will hear from the company.  They’ll then be able to get free repairs from a dealer.
