Yuma, Arizona Encourages Pedestrian Safety As Tourists Descend

Posted on November 6, 2012

The police department, along with various city officials in Yuma, Arizona, is doing everything it can to ensure that pedestrians remain safe on local roads.  They are handing out informative materials that explain the various laws in place in the state and that offer tips on how to comply with those safety measures.  With travelers set to descend on the city as winter approaches, officials want to make sure risks aren’t taken.  Drivers are being asked to always keep an eye out for hard-to-see pedestrians, especially at night, and pedestrians are being tasked with sticking to the sidewalks and promoting their own visibility through the use of reflector devices or a flashlight.
