Boulder Ice Cream and Gelato Recalled Over Salmonella Threat

Posted on November 21, 2012

The repercussions of a possible Salmonella contamination affecting products that use peanuts from Sunland Inc. continue to be felt, as the Boulder, Colorado-based Boulder Ice Cream has now announced the recall of six different peanut butter ice creams and gelato.  Fresca Foods notified the company of the potential presence of contaminated peanuts from Sunland, and thus did Boulder recall Peanut Butter Cup, Homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Gelato, and Elvis ice cream under the Boulder brand, as well as Yoki Bliss Peanut Butter ice cream and Sorano Gelato Chocolate Peanut Butter.  Various sizes and Best By dates are affected.  Customers who purchased these items, which were available across the country, should get rid of them as soon as possible.
