Mission Viejo recently played host to a unique event designed to raise awareness about the dangers of texting while behind the wheel. The Text Kills tour bus rolled into the Kaleidoscope Mall this past weekend, and as part of the event, five bands from around Southern California played for the teenagers that showed up. The hope was that it would be a fun way to get teens more concerned about distracted driving. The tour bus was equipped with a pledge board that teens were asked to sign, in essence vowing not to text by scrawling their name on the side of the bus. By agreeing that texting is dangerous, teens will hopefully think twice before they engage in the practice themselves.
