All Natural Bullstrips Recalled by Carolina Prime Pet

Posted on November 26, 2012

Dog treats available in a handful of states, including right here in California, are being recalled because of their potential to cause both humans and animals alike to sustain a Salmonella infection.  Carolina Prime Pet announced the recall, which affects five count versions of All Natural Bullstrips under the Priority Total Pet Care brand that have a lot code of 20082712 S 3195 or 20090312 S 3195.  Colorado Agriculture Department testing revealed the possible Salmonella contamination.  Pets who eat the product can be infected, as can people who handle the treats.  The products were available through numerous retailers.  No one has reported an illness at this time, and in a bid to continue that trend, pet owners are being asked to stop giving the treats to their pets and to instead bring them back to the store.
