Undeclared Pecans Lead to Sara Lee Butter Streusel Coffee Cake Recall

Posted on November 26, 2012

3,381 pounds of Butter Streusel Coffee Cake under the Sara Lee brand have been recalled because of the threat of an undeclared allergen.  Pecans might be contained in those versions of the product with an October 16, 2013 best by date, and such items were available all across the country.  Those who are allergic to pecans are being advised to refrain from consumption in order to prevent a serious reaction.  Such persons can bring the cake back to the place of purchase to get their money back.  No one has reported becoming ill at this point.
