2,949 Buick Verano and Chevy Sonic and Cruze Vehicles Recalled by GM
Buick Verano and Chevy Sonic and Cruze vehicles of the 2012 model year have been recalled by General Motors because of an injury threat posed. A total of 2,949 automobiles might have a shorting bar on the driver’s side frontal airbag that can repeatedly make contact with the terminals of the air bag. Were this to occur during a frontal collision where the airbags were meant to go off, deployment is likely to not occur. The driver might then sustain an injury because of the lack of an airbag deployment feature. There’s no word yet at this time as to when the recall will begin. Once it does, though, owners will hear from GM and they can get a free replacement of the necessary components.
