Crash Threat Prompts Kenworth to Recall T370 and T270 Trucks

Posted on November 12, 2012

15 T370 and T270 medium duty trucks of the 2012 and 2013 model years have been recalled by Kenworth.  The air brake lines between the Eaton Ultrashift transmission and the cab can become pinched, which could lead to wear and tear should there be an excess of movement between those two portions of the vehicles.  An air leak might then result, which could imperil the brakes and create a potential crash situation.  Free repairs are going to be conducted by dealers, and owners will be alerted to the issue by Kenworth.  The recall should take place at some point this month.
