Undeclared Pecan Risk Prompts Kroger to Recall Vanilla Ice Cream

Posted on November 6, 2012

Deluxe French Vanilla Ice Cream has been recalled by Kroger because of the potential hazard posed by an undeclared allergen.  These items have a sell by date of June 12 of next year and come in a 48 ounce carton.  They were sold at Smith’s, Fry’s, King Soopers, Bakers, Dillons, Gerbes, and City Market grocers in 11 different states.  The ice cream might contain pecans without the label stating as much, thus anyone allergic to pecans might sustain some type of reaction.  Such persons are being advised to bring the ice cream back to obtain either a replacement item or a refund.
