V12 Vantage Coupe automobiles of the 2009 through 2012 model years are being recalled by Aston Martin. 169 of these vehicles are potentially in breach of FMVSS 138, which governs the systems that monitor tire pressure. A light warning drivers of the fact that pressure is low will not tick on until cold tire pressure is 25% less than is advisable. If the driver is not alerted to the low pressure at the proper time, the tire could fail and the subsequent control loss could lead to a crash. Free reprogramming is being offered by dealers.
