Ontario Police Crack Down on Reckless Driving Over Thanksgiving

Due to increasing numbers of reckless drivers on Ontario roads during the holidays, police set up a crackdown on dangerous driving throughout Canada’s recent Thanksgiving weekend. Last year, four citizens died on the holiday, making the day a valid target for police efforts. Operation Impact involved the issuance of tickets to vehicle operators who engaged in practices like using their phones behind the wheel, driving under the influence of alcohol, and not utilizing a seatbelt.
