AARP Hopes Complete Streets Law Can Improve New York Pedestrian Safety

The AARP is proud of their representatives’ efforts to get the Complete Streets law passed in the state of New York, which made it so that bicycle and pedestrian safety must be taken into consideration whenever a potential transportation project comes down the pike.  The organization grew worried after the Mayor’s office released a report detailing a worrisome increase in pedestrian deaths.  The AARP hopes that districts throughout the state will expand upon their bike and pedestrian safety efforts.
