Salmonella Threat Prompts Justin’s to Recall Peanut Butter Items

Posted on October 15, 2012

The potential for a Salmonella contamination has claimed another series of products.

Justin’s has announced this latest recall, which affects peanut butter squeeze packs, cups, and jars.  A wide variety of items of different sizes and product codes are affected by the recall, which was necessitated because these particular items contain peanuts that are among the items that could have been compromised by Salmonella.  These particular items were available online and in various grocers between March 23, 2010 and September 26 of this year.

Those persons who think they might have a Justin’s product affected by the recall should consult the full list at the FDA’s website.  Affected items can be brought back for a refund.  It’s important to note that at this time, candy bars and hazel nut and almond butter items are not affected by the recall.
