Hundreds of Citations Issued, But Michigan Texting Ban Hard to Enforce

A new article talks about Michigan’s Public Act 60, a law which prohibits the use of an electronic device for sending or reading text messages while driving. Hundreds of citations have been given out so far this year across the state, but the law is hard to enforce. Because only texting is illegal, people can still technically use the phone to surf the web or listen to music while driving. This makes it hard for police to catch people breaking the law.
