Natomas Students Benefit From Pedestrian Safety Improvements

Last Wednesday saw students across the country taking part in International Walk to School Day, and in Natomas, California, students were able to take advantage of brand new sidewalks to celebrate the day.  A $1.8 million grant from Safe Routes to School enabled Sacramento to create safety improvements in the area.  Those improvements involved the creation of easy-to-see crosswalks, widened sidewalks, and new traffic signals to provide pedestrians with more time and less distance to cross.
