Listeria Risk Leads Publix to Recall Hearts of Romaine Lettuce

Publix Super Markets has announced the recall of Publix Hearts of Romaine, Chopped Hearts of Romaine available in ten ounce packages.  The recall is due to a possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Listeria monocytogenes may cause fever, nausea, or in more severe cases, death. So far, there have been no reports of an illness filed.  Consumers of the product may return it to obtain a complete refund.
