Volunteers Promote Pedestrian Safety in Rochester, Minnesota

Posted on October 2, 2012

In Rochester, Minnesota, volunteers are taking an interesting approach to promoting pedestrian safety in the area.  Wearing yellow shirts so that they can’t be easily missed, these persons are walking in pairs across downtown intersections.  In the process, they’re carrying banners that alert motorists to the importance of giving pedestrians the right of way.  With fault in collisions throughout the state divided right down the middle between pedestrians and automobile drivers, volunteers want both types of person to understand the danger.
