Study Shows Distracted Walking and Lack of Supervision Endanger Kids

The most recent American College of Surgeons Annual Clinical Congress provided attendees with some startling news regarding child pedestrian injuries.  Surgeons from the Langone Medical Center at New York University were able to determine that cellphone-related distractions and a lack of adult supervision were the leading causal factors for such injuries.  The study’s lead author said that she hoped this would get doctors to start to emphasize to their child patients and their respective parents how important it is not to text on their way to school or some such destination.
