Video Shows Chicago Train Driver Allegedly Texting On the Job

Posted on September 26, 2012

Texting while driving doesn’t appear to be limited to operators of cars. In Chicago, a train driver was allegedly observed texting while operating a train, and the witness even caught the act on video. The Chicago Transit Authority reports that it has a zero tolerance policy for behaviors like this, citing the importance of train operators being aware of their surroundings in order to ensure safe passage for commuters. This driver, it seems, potentially put a lot of lives at risk.
