577 transit buses of the 2006 through 2010 model years are being recalled by Turtle Top. The buses are equipped with either a Century 2 or Vista 2 wheelchair lift that has been found to have a defect. The latch that stops the chair from rolling can become bent or misaligned, therefore compromising safety. If the latch fails, a person may be seriously injured when his or her wheelchair rolls off the elevated lift. Turtle Top is getting in touch with affected owners, who can make contact with a Braun dealer to get the issue fixed.
