Posted on September 25, 2012

Fresh Express Incorporated has put out a recall for Leafy Green Romaine Salad in a nine ounce package that has an expiration date of September 16.  Affected versions of the product were available in Eastern and Midwestern states. Even though the leafy green salad is expired and shouldn’t be on shelves, consumers could still have it in their refrigerators. Listeria monocytogenes was found on a sample of the item, prompting the recall.
