Handheld Cellphone Ban Under Consideration in Mission, Kansas

Posted on September 19, 2012

Mission is considering becoming the first city in the Kansas City area to impose a ban on talking on a handheld phone while driving. If passed, the town will be the second city in Kansas with such a law, as Manhattan previously instituted a ban.  City organizers, known for their tough traffic laws, hope that the idea will spread to other towns so that the roads will become safer for everyone.
