Texting and driving is one step closer to being illegal for Greenwood, South Carolina citizens. The City Council supported the mayor’s proposal to make texting while behind the wheel an unlawful act. The law currently awaiting approval would make it illegal for drivers of all vehicles to both read and send text messages. It would be similar to the ban already in place in nearby Columbia.
