Equator Two-Wheel Drive Vehicles Recalled by Suzuki Over Crash Threat

Posted on September 28, 2012

Equator two-wheel drive vehicles of the 2012 model year are being recalled by Suzuki.  Up to 25 vehicles might have a defect wherein the design hardness specifications were not met by the front wheel hubs.  This could lead to premature wear and a crack in the component.  If the hub then breaks during the drive, the vehicle could go out of control, posing a crash hazard.  No notifications will be issued, as Suzuki was reportedly able to diagnose and correct the problem before the units were sold by dealers.
