Driving Simulator Shows Baton Rouge Students the Dangers of Texting

Posted on September 26, 2012

Baton Rouge Magnet High School in Louisiana brought in a texting and driving simulator so that teenagers could experience what it is really like to try to send a text message and drive at the same time. Students quickly saw that multitasking could cause automobile accidents involving other cars, pedestrians, and more. Law enforcement officials hope that the simulation is clear enough that teens will not need to experience an accident firsthand before they get the message.
