“Don’t Text and Drive Awareness Month” Declared in Wisconsin

Posted on September 13, 2012

Texting while driving in Wisconsin is illegal, but there still appear to be some people who don’t understand the consequences. To help citizens, especially teens, better understand the dangers of texting and driving, September has been declared “Don’t Text and Drive Awareness Month” throughout the state. The State Patrol hopes that making people more aware of the time it takes to send a text while not looking at the road will help reduce accidents. Teens, for their part, have said they’re now ready to listen to the dangers.
