Thanks to a grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, police officials in Visalia were able to conduct a motorcycle safety enforcement operation this past Monday. Their efforts resulted in 32 vehicles being pulled over, eight of which were motorcycles. 28 tickets were handed out, but despite the fact that officers were paying particular attention to intoxicated drivers, no arrests for that offense were necessary.
