Consumer Reports Wants Food Safety Modernization Act Passed

If you’ve paid attention to the news lately, you’ve no doubt heard about the wide-ranging peanut butter recall that has affected numerous grocers and manufacturers across the country, namely Trader Joe’s.  Consumer Reports has stated that this recall, which was only initiated after 29 people reportedly became ill with a Salmonella infection, reinforces the need for passage of the Food Safety Modernization Act, which has so far been a no-go in Congress.
