Pedestrian Safety Promoted in Cal State Northridge Operation

Traffic collisions involving pedestrians have increased 57% at Cal State Northridge, prompting police officers in the area to hold an operation intended to reduce these numbers. The enforcement effort will take place this morning.  Police have reminded pedestrians to pay attention to traffic signals and make eye contact with drivers, as doing so can go a long way toward reducing collisions.
