Victoria, Australia Considers Allowing Filtering Among Motorcyclists

In Victoria, Australia, motorcyclists might soon be able to dart between lanes of traffic in a bid to ease congestion.  Known locally as filtering, officials are set to consider whether or not the benefit to traffic flow would be worth the possible detriment to human life.  The Australian Motorcycle Council’s chairman is in support of such a measure, saying that cities throughout Europe are considering similar ordinances.  He also believes that such a move is vital given the growing number of people on motorcycles.
