Arlington Police Favor Education & Enforcement to Improve Bike Safety

Posted on

Police officers with the city of Arlington, Massachusetts are taking a two-pronged approach to encouraging bicycle safety.  First, officers will seek to hand out safety information and tips to interested cyclists all throughout the area.  Then, the department intends to crack down on bicyclists who violate traffic laws.  The Captain of the APD stressed how important it is for people on bicycles to ride on the right side of the road, to obey signage, and to give pedestrians the right of way.
