Forest Park Joins the Ranks of Cities That Support Anti-Texting Pledge

Posted on September 18, 2012

Forest Park, Illinois wants drivers to understand the dangers of texting and driving. Statistics show that it might be more hazardous than being intoxicated behind the wheel and that it accounts for 16% of all teen automobile deaths. That’s why the commissioners of Forest Park are pushing the public to pledge not to text and drive. On September 19, Forest Park will ask citizens to sign the official “Drive Now, Text Later” pledge. They hope this will make more people put down the cell phone and pay attention to the road.
